injection molds is usually relatively high, especially for molds
with complex shapes and high precision requirements. However, when
products are mass-produced, since the mold cost can be spread over
a large number of products, the cost per unit product will be
significantly reduced. For example, for a mold with a cost of
100,000 yuan, if 100,000 products are produced, the mold cost
apportioned to each product is only 1 yuan. This characteristic of
cost apportionment gives injection molding a cost advantage in mass
production.
High material utilization rate: During the injection molding
process, plastic materials are fully filled in the mold cavity, and
the material utilization rate is relatively high, which can
effectively reduce material waste. Compared with other processing
methods (such as mechanical processing that generates a large
amount of waste), injection molding is more economical in material
utilization. For example, when injection molding a plastic box,
almost all plastic raw materials are used to form the product, and
there is very little waste
